Ms. Naidine Burdett
Naidine Burdett is a passionate and dedicated physiotherapist now working at West Coast Kinesiology and Physiotherapy. Growing up in Maple Ridge, she spent much of her youth immersed in the world of sports, with a particular focus in softball. Her early years on the softball field not only shaped her love for the game but also laid the foundation for her commitment to physical activity and injury prevention, setting the stage for her future career in physiotherapy.
Naidine pursued her academic studies and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, where she also played softball at the collegiate level. During her time at university, Naidine was a key member of the team, helping to secure two national bronze medals and one national silver medal at the CCSA championship, showcasing both her athletic talent and her leadership skills on the field. Building on this foundation, Naidine went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta, gaining the clinical knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to excel in her profession.
As a newly practicing physiotherapist at a new clinic, Naidine is eager to bring her skills and experience to a diverse range of patients. She approaches her work with a commitment to offering a collaborative and exercise-based approach to rehabilitation. She believes in empowering her patients with the knowledge and tools to take an active role in their recovery and overall well-being.
Naidine’s professional interests extend beyond the clinic. She remains an avid softball player, continuing to stay active and involved in the sport she loves. Outside of sports, Naidine can be found near a beach, ocean or any body of water. With a growing interest in working with a wide variety of patient populations, Naidine is dedicated to helping people from all walks of life achieve their goals and improve their quality of life through physical therapy.

CarolAnn graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from UBC in 1998. She utilizes manual therapy (MTSPM level 2) in conjunction with exercise-based treatment to help her patients manage their pain and return to work, sports and daily activities. Kevin graduated with a B. Sc. kinesiology and has had various post grad training courses and certifications since - including Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation, McGill Pain Management Certification, Functional Movement Screen (FMS level 1) and Titleist Golf Performance Trainer level 1. Kylie graduate from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2018 and began her practice at Spa Utopia. Specializing in relaxation massage. Over time, she transitioned to working primarily in a clinic setting, where she focussed on providing client-centered treatments Her expertise includes relaxation, injury recovery, wellness maintenance and lifestyle support.

Joanne Pinlac MPT, B.Sc. Kin
Joanne graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2011, after having acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics with a major in Exercise Science at the University of British Columbia in 2007.
Joanne has had experience working with sports teams such as the University of Sydney Soccer Club, as well as with the New Westminster Hyacks and the Holy Cross Crusaders high school football teams. She provides physical therapy for a variety of conditions including acute injuries such as ICBC injuries, WorkSafe injuries, sprains and strains, bone and joint problems, swelling/pain/movement dysfunction and chronic injuries and conditions. She has also had the opportunity to provide her help and physiotherapy expertise at various charity golf tournaments. Joanne is planning on obtaining her Sports Physiotherapy Diploma and is excited for any forthcoming opportunities to work with even more sports teams.

Kerry graduated with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from SFU and has played numerous sports, including hockey, baseball, soccer, swimming (Coquitlam Sharks) and basketball (MRSS and Douglas College). In 2009, he obtained his CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) and CSEP High Performance Specialist™ (HPS) designation, which is the highest fitness testing designation in Canada and certifies exercise physiologists to test and train high performance athletes. It also allows the CEP to prescribe exercise for chronic disease states and metabolic disorders such as diabetes, cardiac conditions (post-MI or surgery), hypertension, hyperlipidemia, MS, MD, obesity, post-stroke and lung function disorders. He has his Fascial Stretch Therapy certification and Soft-Tissue Release (STR) coursework and does sports stretching for athletes and non-athletes. Kerry has rehabilitated ICBC injury clients, athletes and private clients for 30 years. He has trained athletes in a variety of sports including: BC provincial speed skaters, hockey, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, rugby and basketball. He has been performing entrance testing for Justice Institute of BC’s firefighter program. Kerry was an on-ice instructor and assisted in the development of the dryland training program for RPM hockey school, trained and supervised staff and delivered programming along with other on-ice instructors including NHL’s former player and current Canucks TV colour commentator John Garrett. He was the clinic coordinator for the Sun Run training program for 15 years and has conducted marathon, half-marathon training and injury prevention programs. He has conducted numerous seminars and education courses for large groups (School District #42, District of Maple Ridge, Ridge Health Unit) on a variety of topics including cardiovascular health and disease prevention, back rehabilitation, injury prevention for various sports, and other topics encompassing exercise recovery, nutrition, running biomechanics, hydration and periodization. Jaden Shanley
Jaden is a Registered Massage Therapist with a background in competitive sports, including football, baseball, and basketball. Over the past 5 years, he has transitioned into a role as a strength and conditioning coach following his athletic career, where he has trained a diverse range of individuals, including athletes of varying levels, those starting their fitness journey, and people recovering from injuries.
Jaden obtained his education at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, where he focused on optimizing patient recovery through various massage modalities. During his studies, he developed a particular interest in treating overuse injuries and imbalances resulting from work or exercise related activities. With a strong passion for promoting a healthy, active lifestyle, Jaden recognizes how injuries and pain can hinder these pursuits. He customizes treatment plans for each patient, employing a combination of manual therapy and tailored exercises to facilitate their journey to recovery.
